What was the Inner Forth Landscape Initiative?

The Inner Forth Landscape Initiative was an exciting programme of work to conserve, enhance and celebrate the unique landscape and heritage of the upper reaches of the Firth of Forth in Scotland. To find our more, visit the ‘What was IFLI?’ page of this website.

Who was the Inner Forth Landscape Initiative run by?

The day to day running of the Inner Forth Landscape Initiative during the delivery phase was undertaken by a small team of staff. IFLI staff were hosted by RSPB Scotland, lead partner to the initiative. The IFLI staff team reported to the IFLI Steering Group and IFLI Board who met regularly to review progress. Both groups included members from the IFLI partnership.

The vast majority of IFLI projects were not led by the IFLI staff team. Some were, but the rest were led by formal IFLI partner organisations or other IFLI partners. In this way the wider IFLI partnership was made up of representatives of national, local and community interests. Please use the project explorer to find details of who led on each project.

When did Inner Forth Landscape Initiative projects take place?

The Landscape Partnership Scheme programme, the Inner Forth Landscape Initiative, ran between May/June 2014 and April 2018. There were 54 projects within the Inner Forth Landscape Initiative. Each project had a different timescale, so please search the project explorer to find details of the project(s) you are interested in.
