The Inner Forth Landscape Initiative Staff Team

The full staff team for the delivery phase of the Initiative comprises:

Tom Churchyard is the IFLI Project Manager for the final delivery year of 2017, and into the legacy stage of the programme in 2018. His role involves overseeing the 50 projects in the IFLI portfolio and working with the various partner organisations, as well as the IFLI Board and steering group, to ensure the Initiative remains on course.

You need JavaScript enabled to view it., Community Engagement Officer, supports the IFLI partnership and project leads with a specific focus on volunteering, natural heritage and access projects. Kate currently manages two projects within the initiative: Forth Nature Counts and Landscape Management Trainees. She manages the IFLI Wildlife Recording Assistant and was part of the team that helped to develop the suite of projects within the initiative.

She is also leading two volunteer research projects: Forth Crossings is investigating the fascinating story of historic trade along the Inner Forth, once a thriving hub of activity; and Memories of Mining will see volunteers collate and celebrate experiences of local coal mining. Kirsty is organising FREE training in heritage skills - including desk-based research, archaeology, oral history and GIS mapping - to enable volunteers to get involved.

You need JavaScript enabled to view it., Communications Officer, works with the IFLI team and all our project partners to communicate our vision and achievements in many different ways, including our website, press releases, Twitter, Facebook, and our enewsletter. She also manages our events-based Like the Back of My Hand and Active Landscape projects.

She now works closely with all our partners and project leads to ensure that we manage our budgets efficiently and wisely, and that we fulifil all the reporting and accounting requirements of our funders.

You need JavaScript enabled to view it., Interpretation Officer, works with the IFLI team, project partners and the local community to increase understanding and appreciation of the natural, historical and cultural heritage of the Inner Forth landscape. He oversees the Telling the Inner Forth Story project, which is creating a range of engaging and effective landscape–wide interpretation for local people and visitors.
