The Conservation Volunteering Around the Forth project is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking for more involved with practical conservation in the Inner Forth area. Working across several sites in the Inner Forth, there will be opportunities to learn new practical and wildlife ID skills, and gain a range of experience - invaluable for anyone who wants to pursue a career in conservation.
The RSPB will also be offering volunteers the opportunity for more formal training (e.g. brushcutter). If that's not enough, you will of course get the chance to work with fantastic people and maybe meet some new friends, all the while doing your bit for the special wildlife across the Inner Forth.
Work parties take place on the second Friday and last Saturday of each month, meeting at the Skinflats Nature Reserve office near the Kincardine Bridge.
No previous experience of conservation is needed, although you will need to have an aptitude for reasonably physical work, and be happy working outside in all kinds of weather.
