Kinneil Woods

This project aimed to increase the quality and quantity of the woodland network across the IFLI are within Falkirk to create a robust ecological resource. The intention was to work on a range of sites to create new connections between woodlands and to improve the structure and diversity of woodlands through selective thinning and replanting. Whilst woodland management plans were created for two sites, it was only possible to carry out restoration and management works at one site - Deanburn Glen in Bo'ness. In addition events were run at Dean Primary with the aim of getting the local school children engaged with the project and with the woodland.
