The View from Clackmannan Tower

This project is designed to provide increased supervised public access to Clackmannan Tower, a nationally important 14th-century keep built by Sir Robert Bruce.

Work has already been undertaken to install a new balustrade, which allows for safer access to the upper parapet and the spectacular views of the Ochils and Forth Valley it affords. The lighting in the tower will also be ungraded, and new railings installed at key locations internally. This will allow increased access to the public on the guided tours, which take place at various times throughout the year.

You can get more information on the tours and the tower here.
