Cambus Whisky and Wetland Wander

#Clackmannanshire#Exploring The Forth#Improving Access

This project worked to connect the local community in Cambus, and the wider Clackmannan area, with natural and built heritage.

The area around Cambus is a fascinating mix of the wild and the industrial. As well as offering a place for wetland walks and access to the foreshore, there is a wealth of heritage interest in the area, including the Cambus Dovecot, Ironbridge and the Weir on the River Cambus. The path network links these and also gives local people a connection with the Forth estuary. This project was set up to improve the path network and create an all-abilites circular route around the area. Over a kilometre of new path has been constructed, as well as several waymarkers and fingerpost signs to help you find your way around.

We hope this project ensures that the Cambus wetland area allows people to connect with the Inner Forth, and all it has to offer, for years to come.
