Inner Forth Inches Trail

#Clackmannanshire#Exploring The Forth#Improving Access

This project funded by HLF, Sustrans and the Clackmannanshire and Stirling Environment Trust aimed to link up some of the existing paths and cycle routes in the Clackmannanshire area. It was designed to allow local people to enjoy longer and more satisfying walks and cycles around this historically and culturally interesting part of the Inner Forth.

The route has become a looped link between Alloa and Cambus/Tullibody to connect NCN 76 and with a number of core paths. In addition, this route is in close proximity to other IFLI funded acces upgrades and projects at Cambus Woods, Cambus Pools Scottish Wildlife Trust Reserve and RSPB Black Devon Wetlands Reserve.

The work which took place over the 2017/18 winter included over a kilometre and a half of path improvement, five new user-friendly gates, and waymarkers and signage to help people find their routes easily.
