Who We Are
Inner Forth Futures
Inner Forth Futures is the legacy of the partnership formed for the Inner Forth Landscape Initiative. The initiative was developed by a partnership of nine organisations who came together to take coordinated action to conserve the important heritage assets within this landscape. RSPB Scotland is the lead partner. Between 2014 and 2018 the formal partnership involved three local authorities (Stirling, Clackmannanshire and Falkirk Councils), two public bodies (Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH), and Historic Environment Scotland(HES)), and three NGOs (RSPB Scotland, Sustrans and the Central Scotland Green Network Trust (CSGNT)). Fife Council have now joined them, so that nine partners now make up Inner Forth Futures:
In addition, the initiative worked in collaboration with a wide range of national and local organisations and community groups who played a significant role in the development and delivery of projects. We hope to continue to work together where possible to take forward the legacy of IFLI as we move forward with Inner Forth Futures.
To oversee the development of IFLI a Board, Steering Group and Working Groups were established in 2012. The Working Groups included our partners and other organisations with specialist knowledge. During 2012-2013, the Board, Steering Group and Working Groups assisted the project team by guiding the development process and rigorous selection of projects.
Members of all nine partners are now represented on the Board and Steering Group of Inner Forth Futures, which meet on a regular basis to ensure that the partners remain at the heart of decision making, and that IFF adheres to its aims and objectives in a responsible, effective and efficient manner.
